Adorbs

So Friday night there was a Halloween party for all of Helaman, and the cutest thing went down. There was a boy dressed up as Flynn Rider, and he was SUPER into it. He had a frying pan and a horse and it was awesome. We asked him where Rapunzel was and he said that we still looking for her. Anyways, about 20 minutes after we meet Flynn, someone dressed up as Rapunzel walks in. So we alert Flynn and cuteness happened. He fell on his knees in front of her and kissed her hand it was absolutely perfect. So we snapped some photos and here they are. Maybe I'll be Rapunzel next year.

Kinda a Funny Story

Okay, so on Tuesday we made our usual temple trip. It was very nice, but this time was a little different. Normally, Erin and I end up waiting about 5-10 minutes for our friend Gideon because he stays behind in the font after we're done and baptizes some more people, and this time was no exception. However, while Erin and I were waiting for Gideon one of the temple workers asked Erin and I to help do a few more family name confirmations. Of course we said yes, and we did. The temple worker who had asked us was younger, a recent RM, and he remembered my name but not Erin's. Not much to say there, but I said to him, "Yeah, good memory." Anyways, after we finished Erin and I went back outside to wait for Gideon. Gideon comes out and gives me a slip of paper and says, "So that temple worker wants to ask you on a date but his shift isn't finished at the temple yet." He had written his name and number on this piece of paper! I JUST GOT ASKED ON A DATE IN THE TEMPLE. Anyways, I texted him later that day and so far no dates have been asked and nothing exciting has really happened, but it's still a quality story.

In other news for this week, Trystaun left for his mission Tuesday and on that Tuesday I got a letter from him! He had sent it Saturday so I got it the day he left! It was really nice. I'll hear from him next on Wednesday during his preparation day when he's allowed to send emails. I'm excited.

Also this week I had a social dance lab, so we basically went to a huge dance and got to practice our moves and just have some fun. It was Halloween themed, so you could either go dressed up or in costume, and as a person that doesn't love to wear dresses, I decided to go as a girl from the 80's. My roommates followed suite and also dressed up to an 80's theme, but they were just going to a hall Halloween party. We looked super cute. Blue eyeshadow, ratted hair, and lots of blush.

Called to Serve

Wow, this has been a crazy week. On Monday my best friend was set apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and on Tuesday he left for the Missionary Training Center in Mexico. Trystaun has been called to serve for two years in Logan, Utah, Spanish speaking. In these two years I won't be able to call him or text him or see him, but I will get to receive weekly emails from him. Looks like Wednesdays or going to be the new highlights of my week! I'm so proud of Trystaun for his desire and willingness to serve. He's going to be such an amazing missionary, and I'm so glad that I get to call him my best friend!!

Buena suerte Élder! Te extraño mucho pero yo sé que vas a ser un misionario fantástico. Nos vemos en dos años!

Uneventful

Not a lot has happened this week. It's sorta just been one of those weeks. However, I did get the fun opportunity today to go to ACDA (whatever that stands for) with BYU Womens Choir! We basically got to sing our 3 pieces for a lot of choral directors. It was awesome! I really love singing the music we have, especially Magnificat. If you want to watch a recording of us singing Magnificat follow this link and like us on FB!!

Anyways, that was super awesome. We even got a standing ovation from all of the choral directors! I really feel blessed to get to sing in that amazing choir. Other than that, not a lot has happened. I've hung out with my friends, had my regular Tuesday Temple Trip with Erin and Gideon, and been going to class. Maybe next week will be more exciting!

Fall Leaves & Mexican Food

Fall is so beautiful here! All the leaves are falling and all the trees are absolutely gorgeous. Today, me Shayla and Erin decided that we wanted to make a leaf pile and jump in it like the responsible and mature adults that we are. We didn't have a rake, so we just had to use our hands. It was still so fun though. Me and Erin haven't seen fall in a while, but Shayla is a professional. We got some pretty cute fall leaves pictures, and even shared our leaf pile with some small children. They were so adorable.

Also today, for my Spanish project we have to do some type of cultural activity once a month, so Erin, Gideon and I went to a Mexican restaurant off campus. It was pretty good! Erin was really excited that they had caffeine. (On campus caffeine is non-existent)
