Woo!! I can't believe I made it into BYU!!! It's like a dream being here. I feel so blessed to be at this amazing school and call myself a Cougar!! The first few weeks have flown by. I've finally figured out my class schedule, and know just about every building on campus. I don't get lost as much anymore, and I'm definitely starting to make some friends. I have some amazing classes, with some even more amazing professors. Here's the schedule:
Biology 100, MWF, Dr. Jensen
This class is pretty cool. We've done some pretty neat science in there. I get to be in there with my friend Spencer, and we always sit on the front row. So far we've played with termites, met a lizard named Laceter, and made some fun evolution trees.
Book of Mormon, MW, Brother Griffen
This class is basically awesome. I go in there, he blows my mind, I walk out. 'Nuff said.
Writing 150, MWF, Dr. Weyand
Also cool, not my most favorite. The people and my teacher are awesome, I'm just not sure how big of a fan I am of the whole "English" thing.
Womens Choir, MTWF, Sister Appelonie
SUPER AWESOME! I'm an Alto II, so I sing the bass part of the womens choir, and it's really fun. I love going in there and feeling the Spirit. It's so nice.
Social Dance, TTh, Whitney Finch
So much fun. Right now we're learning the Fox Trot, and it feels like more of a club than a class. I really enjoy it.
Psych 101, Th, Dr. Wood
Also fun. It's an introduction to the Psychology major, and a lot of people who majored in Psychology or who work in the field are going to come talk to us about different career options we have and different things that they do with their education. It's going to be really cool, and is only once a week.
Spanish 205, MTWThF, Profe Ingersoll
This class is every day, and it's Spanish. It's a lot of fun, and I feel like I'm doing really well so far. It's a lot of grammar, but I like that. That's my weakest point, but other than that I feel like I'm fairly fluent. I love being able to go to my Spanish class every day and just keep up with it. It's so fun to get to say I'm bilingual!
That's my class schedule in a nutshell. It's 15 credits, and some days it feels like a lot, but I really do love it. My classes are really entertaining and I almost don't like the weekend because I feel like I don't have anything to do. Classes are fun.. until we get homework. Then I take back what I said about class being fun.
