Saturday Temple Trip
Today I did a few things out of the ordinary... I woke up early on Saturday, went to do baptisms at the Mount Timpanogas Temple, and ate an Ecuadorian soup called encebollado. A couple of people from Spanish class all went together, and then afterwards we stopped off at our Professor's house for lunch. The rice was super good, the fish soup (encebollado) - not my favorite. I did try it though, so I'm proud of myself for that!
And for your enjoyment, here's my favorite Cannon Center pick up line...

Choirfest
Yesterday was Choirfest! The 4 auditioned BYU Choirs performed, namely,
Mens Chorus
BYU Singers
Concert Choir
Womens Chorus
That was our performance order. We sang "Now Touch the Air Softly", "Mary Speaks", and "I Know that My Redeemer Lives". Except the version of I Know that we sang was the Sacred Harp version and it was intense. We had a lot of fun - it was a really good concert. My friend and Abby and I took some quality selfies. I wish I would have taken a picture of my hair though - my roommate Abi did a really good job with it.
Temple Thursdays
So since the last time I posted there have been two more temple attendances. Here's the photos from them!
Unfortunately, Erin was not able to come templing with us this last Thursday. But we still got her into a couple of the pictures ;)
BYU vs. Gonzaga
So my first basketball game of the season was BYU vs. Gonzaga.. the number one collegiate team in the nation. It was a super intense game even though just about everyone thought we were going to be slaughtered. We were actually only 6 points away from them at like the 2 minute mark, but then lots of fouls happened and they beat us really bad. It was a really fun game to go to and I got to go with a pretty good friend... ;) Anyways. Here's some of my basketball game photos.

Adventures with Kels
This last week I've been lucky enough to have Kelsey come visit! We had some pretty fun adventures today. Freshy drove down from Salt Lake to come see us and we all went on a lunch trip to Café Rio. So tasty. The mild pork burrito gets me every time. Anyways, we had fun. Kelsey was feeling a little sleep deprived and made good use of the car ride home...😂

We also went to the BYU Basketball game today against Loyola Maramount. The team was obviously blessed by our presence because we won!! 77-85. Helena, a girl on my floor, let us use her ROC Pass so that Kelsey could get in. We had a lot of fun - the photo we took even made the big screen!

Tundra
This morning I woke up at the crack of dawn to go with the BYU Womens Chorus to film a music video for our song "Tundra". We went into the mountains at Midway and it was ABSOLUTLY FREEZING. Luckily for us, Sister A loves us very much and came equipped with toe warmers, hand warmers, and body warmers for every girl. It's crazy though - it was so cold in the snow that the toe warmers got the heat sucked out of them and didn't really work. When we had breaks we would all cram back onto the bus trying to breath life back into our freezing toes and fingers. The temperature ranged from -14° to 1° while we were out there. We think the video is going to be amazing though.. so it'll be totally worth it.
