DanceSport

Parker and I also went to DanceSport today. It was so good! Ben and his partner (Ben is my teacher) danced in the national championships for cabaret, and they won. Which we weren't surprised - it was AMAZING. We didn't take a picture, but I got a photo of the floor for one of the teams dancing.

This is my teachers performance. Someone else videoed them - it's soooo good.

Climb Every Mountain

Today Kelsey, Parker, Harrison, and I all went to Provo Canyon and took a nice leisurely stroll. Or at least that was plan, until we found a little trail that went up the mountain. Harrison wasn't feeling it, but Kelsey, Parker, and I were all feeling a little adventurous so we decided to go for it. We ended up not taking a path at all, and just free climbed up the side of the mountain. It got pretty sketchy in some parts, but it was so much fun. We were climbing up these rocks that kept sliding down and we had to use the little branches, mountain side, and each other for support to stop from falling off. Kelsey was struggling, but we had fun. I let her wear my white jacket since it was a little chilly when we started, and she totally wrecked it. She's gonna wash it though so hopefully all the mud comes out. Rather than walking, she chose to slide most of the way down. We didn't take a path up or down for most of it, so it was pretty fun. The view was beautiful though, we got up close to a waterfall and everything. I'm really loving this sunny warm weather.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Yesterday I went to my first BYU baseball game. It was really good! It was super close too, we ended up winning off of a walk off home run! It was sweet. We all stayed for the second game after that, it wasn't as close. Same team, but we just creamed them. I'm not sure what happened, but it was just a total beating. Kavan was there and then his good friend Parker and a girl named Allison. It was fun! I also had my first Cougar Tail. Not sure I'll eat another, but it was pretty good.

Abi created a home made flower food for our carnation, and we think it's working! The flower is still alive and well and it's really opening up. It's super pretty. We love having a flower in our room.

I'm Famous

I got featured on the BYU Women's Chorus Facebook page for part of our concert promotion, and they showed my picture and comment in class. I actually like the photo. My hands are a bit awk, but I like my smile.
Today was another temple day too, so here's the photos. Erin was being difficult.

Just Another Week

I've had a super fun week. I think one of the high points had to have been watching Scott, Cris's roommate eat the dead fish jelly bean hahaha. The after video was better, he came back into the kitchen with his toothbrush and tons of mouthwash. We were dying, it was so funny.

Kavan got a flower from his Women in the Workplace class and decided he didn't want it, so he said I could have it. It now sits upon the fridge in one of my water bottles, and Candice and I believe that it's starting to open! We're excited. It smells sooo good. I love flowers.

Kavan also came with me to English TRC today. We had one Elder teach us solo, the same Elder from Chile that I've seen before. And then three elders together, 2 from South Korea and 1 from China.

Rachel also decided that she and Makenzie wanted to try this charcoal mask thing that's supposed to clear out your pores and get rid of acne. Apparently it's super painful when you take it off. They haven't taken them off yet... we'll see how it goes.

Home Teaching Challenge

For the month of February our Relief Society did a Home Teaching challenge. Our ward only had 40% home teaching, so as a Relief Society we looked for ways to get our home teachers to come over. Candice and I had ours take us to Valentines Dinner since we were sad and lonely, two girls on our hall kicked out their screen and had their home teachers come put it back, some girls needed bottles opened, bugs killed, and fridges fixed. Overall, we had a lot of fun getting our home teachers to come over. And their numbers went up to 85%! This is the trophy that they got. It says 'Home Teacher of the Year Award' and it's a gold action figure holding a folding chair haha

Comfort Food

School's hard. Life's hard. Not having a kitchen is hard. When I thought life was rough at home, I would make rice and beans. Unfortunately, I have no kitchen. But Cris does! Cris is the bomb and let me come over and party with him and his roommates. I made rice&beans, Kyle make pico de gallo, and Cris made eggless banana bread. Thing is, I only know how to cook to feed a small army so there's a good amount of left overs, even though everyone ate quite a bit of it. At least I did haha.... but Cris said I could drop in whenever and eat them! :D Guess who my favorite human is this week?

Cris - Kyle - Me

Kyle put pico on his. You can see it at the top^
