Just Another Week

I've had a super fun week. I think one of the high points had to have been watching Scott, Cris's roommate eat the dead fish jelly bean hahaha. The after video was better, he came back into the kitchen with his toothbrush and tons of mouthwash. We were dying, it was so funny.

Kavan got a flower from his Women in the Workplace class and decided he didn't want it, so he said I could have it. It now sits upon the fridge in one of my water bottles, and Candice and I believe that it's starting to open! We're excited. It smells sooo good. I love flowers.

Kavan also came with me to English TRC today. We had one Elder teach us solo, the same Elder from Chile that I've seen before. And then three elders together, 2 from South Korea and 1 from China.

Rachel also decided that she and Makenzie wanted to try this charcoal mask thing that's supposed to clear out your pores and get rid of acne. Apparently it's super painful when you take it off. They haven't taken them off yet... we'll see how it goes.

Home Teaching Challenge

For the month of February our Relief Society did a Home Teaching challenge. Our ward only had 40% home teaching, so as a Relief Society we looked for ways to get our home teachers to come over. Candice and I had ours take us to Valentines Dinner since we were sad and lonely, two girls on our hall kicked out their screen and had their home teachers come put it back, some girls needed bottles opened, bugs killed, and fridges fixed. Overall, we had a lot of fun getting our home teachers to come over. And their numbers went up to 85%! This is the trophy that they got. It says 'Home Teacher of the Year Award' and it's a gold action figure holding a folding chair haha

Comfort Food

School's hard. Life's hard. Not having a kitchen is hard. When I thought life was rough at home, I would make rice and beans. Unfortunately, I have no kitchen. But Cris does! Cris is the bomb and let me come over and party with him and his roommates. I made rice&beans, Kyle make pico de gallo, and Cris made eggless banana bread. Thing is, I only know how to cook to feed a small army so there's a good amount of left overs, even though everyone ate quite a bit of it. At least I did haha.... but Cris said I could drop in whenever and eat them! :D Guess who my favorite human is this week?

Kyle put pico on his. You can see it at the top^

BYU Dance Party

Today I got to go to one of the social dance parties on campus. Those are always so much fun, especially now that I'm in 280. I danced with a ton of different people, including my teacher and my TA from last year! It's awesome dancing with people that are better than me. I've been told many a time that I'm a really good follow, so even though I don't always know the advanced steps I can usually figure out what to do. It's so much fun. This semester as an upper level class, we performed a ChaCha floor routine. It was so much fun! Here's the video that Rachel took....my partner and I are front and center in the red. Check out that grand finale though. ;)

Mormon Lent

My roommates and I decided to try out Lent this year. Cause why not? Candice, Rachel, and Abi all decided to give up sweets and desserts, but seeing as I don't eat a lot of those anyways, I'm giving up soda. Special exceptions include dates, and 90+ grades on tests. We'll see if any of us actually get to partake in an exception haha. We're starting our lent tomorrow since we missed the actual day...we'll see how this goes. April 10th ends it. Pray for us haha

Vocal Point Sightings

Today walking out of Womens Chorus, Abby and I saw BYU Vocal Point! They were performing in the courtyard trying to get the word out about their concert this weekend! It was super cool. I got interviewed by their publicist and got to take a selfie with a couple of the guys. I then stalked them to the food court so I could watch them perform a few more songs...don't judge me.

Pizzzzzzzzzzzza

WE LOVE PIZZA. And giftcards. We actually got this yesterday not knowing that we'd be getting a super sweet surprise in the mail today...a giftcard for MORE PIZZA. :D :D :D :D
