I Hope They Call Me on a Mission

Well, I've decided. I am 100% certain about my decision to serve a full time mission. I'm so excited to see what my Heavenly Father has in store for me, and I can't wait to see where on this beautiful Earth He needs me to serve His children.
My official mission photo - Thanks Maddy!

TRC Tuesdays

I'm really enjoying TRC. Cris couldn't make it this week, but my friend Andrew offered to fill in. He really liked it! I think he'll keep coming. Walking to the MTC today was soo treacherous. Andrew slipped on a patch of ice and totally bit it...but on his way down he hit my leg and I came tumbling down too. To make it worse, it's not like we fell somewhere no one would notice - we were right in front of BYU floral, and when we checked to see if anyone saw there were two people staring and laughing at us. Yayy. Andrew is bitter since that's his first fall all season...I'm used to it at this point.

Sisters from Bolivia and Taiwan going to L.A. and Oakland

Sister from China, Elder from Taiwan, Sister from a tiny country that starts with an M that I'd never heard of. Going to San Jose, CA (the sister from M??? and the Elder) and St. George, Utah.

Saturday Service Activity

Today I had the opportunity to do some service for kids at a local hospital. Erin and I, along with some other members of RHA, (Residence Hall Association) met up in the Cannon Center and made some tie blankets to donate to the local hospital. We had a lot of fun!

Once we finished, Erin and  I had little fun braiding our hair together. Nick felt left out so we tried to include him... didn't work too well though haha.

Damage Report

Remember that time Erin fell down the stairs in the temple? Here's the one day later... ouch!

I also burnt my hand in an attempt to curl my hair. That didn't feel too great either, but I think Erin still wins for worst injury of the week.

From Sun Kissed to Snow Kissed

So yesterday it was 60° and sunny. I didn't bring my coat with me to class and I went outside without a jacket for the first time in months. Today I woke up to snow EVERYWHERE. It looks like Christmas again and I feel like I should be listening to Christmas music. It hasn't stopped snowing yet, and honestly I'm done with it. Snow was fun the first couple months, but now it's just cold and I'm ready for the sunshine again.

Autumn - you should be impressed with my hair. Just sayin.

Today was a temple trip for the books... we had a friend of Erin's named Nathaniel tag along, and we had a couple mishaps, all of which involve falling. The most exciting(?) was definitely Erin tripping and falling alllllll the way down the stairs down to the baptistery. Like 5 temple workers come rushing out to see what the disturbance is and it was just Erin gracing the stairs with her presence. Her poor leg is all bruised up now. Rough day. On the way back from the temple the sidewalks were all covered in ice from the snow and freeze, Erin and I were really struggling. We fell a couple times. Bless Gideon and his miraculous invincibility to snow, cold, and slipping on ice. He steadied us more than once.

TRC at the MTC

The last two weeks Cris and I have been going to the MTC Tuesday mornings to help with the missionaries who are learning English. It's a lot of fun, so far we've had Elders from Chile, Mongolia, Ukraine, and South Korea! We've had Sisters from Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, and Japan.
Cris and I finally got ourselves together and took pictures with the missionaries this week. We don't have any with the Elder from Mongolia or the Sisters from last week, but we got some this week! (Tbh I don't know what TRC stands for)
Week 1

Week 2

Elders Auh and Elder Korvenik (South Korea&Ukraine going to Australia&Salt Lake City)

The Sisters (Taiwan and Japan going to Seattle and Australia)

Found one of our Elders from last week - from Chile going to Nampa, Idaho

BYU Basketball

Yesterday I went to the BYU vs. San Diego game with Kavan. Chase says that Kavan is a good influence on me, making me go to more sporting events. There's one more home game this Saturday, but since Kavan will be out of town he wanted to make sure he got to go to one last home game for this season. The next major sport is baseball, and I'm personally super excited for that one. I really like going to baseball games, at least I liked the Rays games that I went to back in Tampa. Let's go Cougars!
It filled up after we took the photo. We were early. It wasn't an empty game haha

Temples and Trees

This morning I went to the temple with Erin and Gideon. It's finally starting to warm up and we've really been enjoying the nicer weather. It's more sweater weather than coat weather - it's been in the 50's. It's been so nice outside!!

On our way back today we found this cute tree. I fit right underneath it... Gideon not so much. 😂😂

Erin said she was photographing... more like videographing ;)

Look Who I Found!

Today I ran into an old friend from Florida! It was so cool seeing him in the JSB, especially since the last I'd heard of him he'd been in a bad car accident. It was awesome to get to see Ivan today!

Valentines Dates

This Valentines Day, Candice and I got treated to a wonderful dinner by our Home Teachers. They dressed up for us and took us to the Cannon Center. We basically have the best home teachers ever. We love them oh so dearly <3

I also got this cute little surprise at my door today from an anonymous Valentine on my hall <3

And Cris and I decided to start the day off right and go to the MTC. We volunteered with missionaries learning English, they taught us a lesson! We heard from 2 Elders, from Mongolia and Chile, and 3 Sisters, from China, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Super cool experience!
