Adventures with Kels

This last week I've been lucky enough to have Kelsey come visit! We had some pretty fun adventures today. Freshy drove down from Salt Lake to come see us and we all went on a lunch trip to Café Rio. So tasty. The mild pork burrito gets me every time. Anyways, we had fun. Kelsey was feeling a little sleep deprived and made good use of the car ride home...😂

We also went to the BYU Basketball game today against Loyola Maramount. The team was obviously blessed by our presence because we won!! 77-85. Helena, a girl on my floor, let us use her ROC Pass so that Kelsey could get in. We had a lot of fun - the photo we took even made the big screen!

Tundra

This morning I woke up at the crack of dawn to go with the BYU Womens Chorus to film a music video for our song "Tundra". We went into the mountains at Midway and it was ABSOLUTLY FREEZING. Luckily for us, Sister A loves us very much and came equipped with toe warmers, hand warmers, and body warmers for every girl. It's crazy though - it was so cold in the snow that the toe warmers got the heat sucked out of them and didn't really work. When we had breaks we would all cram back onto the bus trying to breath life back into our freezing toes and fingers. The temperature ranged from -14° to 1° while we were out there. We think the video is going to be amazing though.. so it'll be totally worth it.
This is my friend Abby. She's a wonderful human and sings the Soprano I part. She was also in my Spanish class last semester!

Our music video will be shown to the public for the first time at our Spring Concert on March 31, 2017. Ya'll should come. ðŸ˜‰

Too Much Cuteness

Today I went on a super fun double date to the Puppy Barn!!! It was so much fun! I'd never been before, and it was basically just this store with big old fashioned tubs of puppies separated by breed. It was so awesome. As a wee 18 year old, there were some breeds that I couldn't hold, but Steven held them for me so I could give them my love. It was so much fun. We ended out the night getting some tasty ice cream from the BYU Creamery. Basically, we had a ton of fun and I would definitely throw it up there on my top 10 dates.

Exciting Happenings

Exciting things happened this week, not the least of which was me and my roommates ordering 2 pizzas, cheese sticks, and soda with a gift card from Dominos. I unashamedly ate 3/4 of one of the pizzas all on my own...Thanks Mom!

As usual we had another exciting temple trip this week. It was made better this week because we were blessed with Shayla's presence. I think she's going to be joining our usual crew. Haha funny thing happened though, I was the last one to come out from the bathroom and we get into the room where everyone was waiting for me, and one of the workers looks at me, points to Gideon, and says "He said this felt just like waiting for you at the altar!" Ahahaha

On the way back the sun was shining on the mountains all pretty like. So, of course, I had to take a picture. Some of us were less pleased about the picture taking than others though...and of course those faces of joy and gladness were captured too.😂

This week is even more exciting because I got a visitor! My bestie from Florida came to see me and check out the Provo area. She's planning on moving up here next month and I'm so excited to live closer to her! Here are some *super cute* photos of us <3

More Fun in the Snow

We've gotten a ton of snow the last few days! People are slipping and sliding all over campus, and everyone is bundled up nice and tight. I've also had a few more fun snow adventures - snow angels and snow forts!
The first attempt

The second attempt
I did not build this fort and I have no idea who is responsible for this creation. It's pretty sweet though, I have no clue how they did it. Apparently these types of forts are used during a snowball fight for maximum protection. It's pretty sweet in there.

P.S. - these photos are a few days old and we now have WAY more snow than featured here :)
